The blade utilises 1045 carbon steel with a tanto profile and plain edge. The handle incorporates authentic ray skin (same) wrap with black cotton tsuka-ito cord binding. A cast iron tsuba guard and brass habaki collar complete the traditional assembly. The black lacquered wooden scabbard provides protective storage.
