Target Wild Boar – Reactive knockdown target system with magnetic reset

This reactive shooting target features five metal wild boar silhouettes with an integrated reset mechanism. The unit measures 49cm wide, 19cm high and 21cm deep, constructed from black metal with 1mm thick target figures.

Construction and materials

The frame utilises sturdy steel construction while the five knockdown targets are made from 1mm metal. A magnetic reset system connects the four outer targets to the central figure – hitting the centre target returns all fallen boars to their upright position. The black finish provides visibility contrast for accurate targeting.

Application and use

Designed for air rifle shooting with lead pellets from 25 metres or greater distance. Steel projectiles should be avoided to prevent target damage. At closer ranges, the thin metal figures may deform from impact energy. The magnetic reset mechanism saves walking downrange between shooting sequences, enabling continuous practice sessions.

Integration and compatibility

Compatible with standard air rifles using lead pellets. Lower-powered rifles may require adjustment of the magnetic reset force – applying tape to the magnet can fine-tune the mechanism's sensitivity. Eye protection is essential due to potential pellet ricochet from the metal surfaces.

Maintenance and lifecycle

The metal construction requires minimal maintenance beyond periodic inspection for impact damage. Target figures may eventually show deformation from repeated hits, particularly if used at distances under 25 metres.
