Cantilever Riser Mount – forward-offset optic mount for airguns

The Vector Optics Cantilever Riser Mount is a forward-offset adapter designed to position red dot sights and compact prism scopes on airgun rails. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminium, it weighs only 40 grams and provides a saddle height of 21mm for a natural sighting position.

Construction and materials

The mount is CNC-machined from aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminium, balancing rigidity with low mass. Total length is 49.5mm, and the finish is a matte black anodised coating that reduces glare and resists wear. The cantilever profile shifts the optic forward to free up rail space behind the mount.

Application and use

This riser is intended for mounting red dot sights and compact prism optics on airguns with limited rail length. The forward offset is particularly useful on bullpup platforms where space behind the loading system is restricted. The elevated 21mm saddle height also supports a more upright head position, reducing neck strain during extended shooting sessions.

Integration and compatibility

The base uses a Picatinny interface for universal fit on modern airgun rails. The optic platform accepts T1/T2 footprint sights, including the Vector Optics Paragon Prism, Maverick, and Scrapper series. Installation is carried out using the supplied hex key.

Maintenance and lifecycle

The anodised aluminium construction requires minimal upkeep. Periodically check that mounting screws remain torqued and wipe down the surface to prevent debris build-up at the optic interface.
