Continental 2-12x44 FFP Riflescope by Vector Optics – mid-range precision optic with illuminated FFP reticle

The Continental 2-12x44 FFP is a variable magnification riflescope built for mid- to long-range precision shooting. It features a First Focal Plane reticle that scales with magnification, a 34 mm tube diameter, and a compact overall length of 317 mm at a weight of 760 g.

Construction and materials

The housing is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a matte black finish, nitrogen-purged and sealed to IP67. Shock resistance is rated to 1000 G. Turrets provide 1/10 MIL clicks, with an elevation range of ≥63 MIL and windage of ≥30 MIL, including turret lock and zero stop.

Application and use

This scope is intended for advanced sport shooters working with holdovers and MIL-based corrections at varying distances. The FFP system supports accurate ranging at any magnification, while the turret lock and zero stop suit static shooting setups where repeatable settings are essential. Typical use includes mid-range precision shooting and PCP air rifle disciplines.

Integration and compatibility

The 34 mm main tube requires matching rings or a one-piece mount for a Picatinny rail, compatible with most modern PCP rifles and sporting carbines. Mounting rings are not included. The illuminated VET-CTR 2 etched glass reticle offers 11 brightness levels with on/off positions, powered by a CR2032 battery. Eye relief measures 100 mm, and fully multi-coated lenses deliver around 90% light transmission.

Maintenance and lifecycle

The scope is sealed and requires no internal servicing. Lens surfaces should be cleaned with the included cloth, and the CR2032 battery replaced as needed. A spare elevation turret, plastic key, lens caps, and instruction manual are included.
