Tripod Tauron Ground by Vector Optics – stable support platform for precision applications

The Tauron Ground is a heavy-duty tripod designed to provide a stable mounting base for rifles, optics, and camera equipment. Built from carbon fibre, it combines a low system weight of 2.12 kg with a load capacity of up to 35 kg, making it suitable for demanding long-range shooting setups and observation tasks.

Construction and materials

The tripod uses a full carbon leg construction with a main tube diameter of 34 mm for maximum rigidity under load. Four leg sections with twist-locks allow continuous height adjustment from 56 cm folded to 170 cm extended. The finish is black, and adjustable leg angles combined with spike feet ensure stable positioning on uneven terrain.

Application and use

This tripod is intended for long-range shooting, field observation, and photography with heavy telephoto lenses. It supports precision rifle setups on the range or in the field, and is equally suited to hunters using spotting scopes or thermal devices. The high load rating allows mounting of full-weight precision rifles without compromising stability.

Integration and compatibility

The top plate features dual threading of 1/4" and 3/8", allowing direct mounting of standard tripod heads, ARCA clamps, ball heads, or shooting saddles. Compatibility extends to most photographic and shooting accessories using these industry-standard interfaces.

Maintenance and lifecycle

The twist-locks and leg sections are serviceable using the included hex keys. Periodic cleaning of the locking mechanisms is recommended after exposure to dust, sand, or moisture. A carrying bag is included for protected transport and storage.
