Hyena Penetrators – precision pointed pellets for air rifles

The RAM Tactical Hyena Penetrators are pointed air rifle pellets in 4.5mm/.177 calibre weighing 7.38 grains. These lightweight projectiles feature an aerodynamic design for reduced air resistance and stable trajectories up to 50 metres. Supplied in boxes of 500, they include a special Pellet Lube coating that prevents lead fouling in the barrel.

Construction and materials

Each pellet weighs 0.0005 kilogram (7.38 grains) with a pointed tip design optimised for penetration. The silver finish comes from a protective coating that reduces barrel deposits and ensures smooth feeding through rifling. This lightweight construction suits spring-piston and pump-action air rifles operating between 25-30 joules.

Application and use

These pellets excel in air rifle target shooting and Field Target competitions up to 50 metres. The pointed design delivers clean holes in paper targets whilst maintaining consistent velocities between shots. Best suited for precision shooting where grouping and accuracy take priority over energy transfer.
